Anyone got any ideas where I can get a Ford fuel tank from for a 1.4 si? as the copy SPI tank won't fit, or has anyone else had problems fitting a copy tank?

Ford still do them.

Don't use a hadrian copy one as the feed inside is rubbish and wont feed petrol when you have under quarter of a tank

I tried to get one through fordparts and hadrian ones don't fit. are 1.4 the same as 1.6?

yea mate, they're all the same in mk3 fiestas, the only difference would be the fuel pump inside but you can just re-use yours or get a new one specific to your car

Just tried my local ford garage and there no longer available  might not be a bad thing they were listed at £230
Any one know the difference between a carbed version?

Yea, just the four mate. The two at the back screw into a nut attached to a clip and that sometimes just starts to spin. Get some mole grips in to hold it and use plenty of wd40 and it should budge

Sounds good mate, I know what you mean about the brake pipes, the tank is literally completely in the way to replace them, for what its worth it may as well be removed. Btw, if you break any of the clips ford still do them
