Thinking of undersealing the car so just a quick question as i've never actually used it, does it dry like a black gloss paint ? |

generally drys to a mat black finish, not as flat as a gloss paint due to its nature and thickness which remains softish under a skin to enable it to take inpact of stones ect. and wear gloves as it gets everywhere! if you want a gloss finish think some underseals can be sprayed over but not sure about hammerite one |

I'd avoid it tbh, the driest it gets is still way too soft imo. In the first few days while it's 'fresh', all sorts of crap will stick to it and you won't be able to wash it off becuase it's soo soft. I'd clean the underside and remove any traces of rust obviously in the usual manner, stonechip any areas that look a bit exposed if the factory underseal is a bit thin or has been removed, then use some proper paint that dries hard so you can wash/scrub it when things get filthy. |

Hmmmm, see ive took the spare wheel out and the rusty tray and its exposed alot the underside at the back. Condition looks fine, no rust etc, but i want to keep it that way. How about some hammerite high heat black gloss paint, ive got a tin of that already. I know that dries hard cause ive used it already. |

its ok but you need to re do it every so often, if you paint it on rust it will peel off again 6 months down the line. |
