how can he pull the handling of the Si to bits when comparing it to an XR2i. if he's talking about the 16v 2i, then it's the same suspension setup, if its the 8v then he wants shooting, they have far superior handling to any standard mk3. JJ |

Ah of course, i knew you'd discount the figures but there they are plain as day, you can say how you rekon the 2i pulls better and will embarras an Si but the official figures seem to disagree with you. Having never driven an XR all i can do is "crunch numbers", and after much "crunching" i've come to the conclusion that maybe the old XR2i isnt quite as fast as you think. Oh and I'll give you that one, XR max torque 2800rpm, Si 3000rpm but 200rpm is neither here nor there to be honest. Although the Si produces its max power 500rpm lower than the 2i even tho it has 20bhp less 
I've always liked the XR2i and I dont want this to turn from a debate into an argument, so how about we agree to disagree? I don't think either of us are gonna budge lol you think you're right and I think i'm right

christ! its hot in here!
ive driven both cars, i own an si, which i like alot, the xr is faster but to me the si feels more modern, i think the si is sylish, better lookin inwards and outwards than the 8v xr2i but, if i could own an nice mk3/3.5 fiesta it would definatly be a '2i 16v, pacifica blue! oh yes!
