Right, im rebuilding my blacktop engine.... need to clean the sump up properly, its hard work lol as its covered in grease and want to get it nice and clean so i can put a lick of paint on it. My mate said that he put a indicator lense in the dishwasher and it worked wonders. What you reckon on a sump? Could this lead to grease everywhere or would a dish washer tablet break up the grease lol. Im sure my mum wouldnt see the funny side of this lol, |

mate i wouldnt bother trying, lol, soak it in some de greaser then jet wash it off, i can see your rents getting mighty pissed when you clog the dishwasher up with gunk!!!! |

the oily grease wont do the door seals any good. and im not sure your average dishwasher detergent will shift that kind of grease! but your parents reaction would be priceless! |

The local subrau Guru in Doncaster use's his old Dishwasher to wash his engine parts.
