I have a 5 door java blue fiesta but the rust is getting me annoyed as i have no time to sort it out so i can put my arches and sideskirts on was just wondering what is everyones opinions of what i should do. whether to get a 3 door or keep the car i have at the moment |

how bad is the rust? is the rest of the car sound? if its worth saving id keep what you have but otherwise look elsewhere and whats wrong with 5 doors

How bad is the rust?? How long do you plan on keeping the car?? These factors can make your mind up.. if the rust isnt crazy bad, and you dont plan on keeping the car / spending loads of money on the shell itself then stick the kit over it. nothing up with 5 doors anyway, be different.. all the 3 doors look the same now. everyone has got xr skirts and arches and its boring |

i want to keep the car for couple of years but everyone says dont put arches on until you have sorted the rust and i havent got the time to sort it out and i dont want to pay someone to sort it out because frankly i dont have the money

that does look quite bad to be honest and yes, i wouldnt put anything on over it in that state, it will eventually just break away whats the rest of the car like though? |

ive got a jave blue 3 door 1.3 frascati, its just outside bristol, and its got an rs accessory kit, whick ive only seen one other car with, had quite a bit spent on it and there is not rust. £350 heres a pic   mot but no tax, could be swapped from your current car. |

think he's talking about swapping the tax over not the car mate, looks like a good 3 door mate bargin price too

And to be fair... if thats the only rust on the car.. measure where the kit would sit on the arches, sand it back, treat is and slap some hammerite on it, making sure you dont go above where the kit sits, and then you could slap the kit on it.

what do you want pictures of mate? ive only got those atm but i can take more, its the same as your current car but a 3 door. its had the head rebuild and a new coilpack, leads and plugs only 1000miles ago. if i was being really critical it needs a new passenger door, its dented on the door brace so i cant push it out, and i a plug for the side of the drivers seat because the bolster is loose atm. its got nearly new marshal tyres and matching (for the kit) 13"x6" rs alloys. otherwise it a very good 76000 mile 1.3 |
