Anybody know if not having a passenger seat counts as a fail?
As my drivers one is "too insecure" im going to leave it at home and switch the passenger one over, just checking i wont fail for lack of a passenger seat

fully stripped out cars pass, with 1 bucket seat, and i woulda thought that if you had to have a seat then you would have to have a passenger so as to not render the actual passenger seat useless so it cant be a requirement ANDDDDDDDDDDDD breath

if its not there..it cant be tested. HOWEVER. your car is type aproved to seat 5. and unless youve had the log book changed to say it now has less seats you may have a problem. as anyone testing it will want to test seats and seatbelts for that number...out of interest how did the tester define the seat as insecure? by the sounds of it..the tester you took it to is a pedantic arse. take it somewhere else. Jam. |

passed btw an advisory for diff size tyres on the front and rear, 1 for a noisey wheel bearing and 3 for dustcovers  alll good tho. In the end i bought a basemodel seat from the scrappy for £20  but got my tracking for a fiver so was alright after all.

Yeah thats abit tight for them. I always have it as make sure you have the same sizes on each axel or whatever.. hence why I dont drive around with 16's one side and 14's on the other, but have 14's on front, 16's on back |
