1.8 head on a 2.0 makes a high compression engine, thus more powerful. the 1.8 and 2.0 heads have the same size valves and ports, just a different combustion chamber which make the higher compression. |

ive asked but no reply yet thats why i asked u guys with 1.8 or 2.0 engine to see if you have the same part number to confirm what head it is the reason i ask is beacuse i have exactly the same cylinder head number and ive been told its a 1.8 so that must mean i have a 1.8 cylinder head on a 2.0 engine

the bloke has replied back to me and itas the 1.8 cylinder head so is this a good thing for me |

its got arp con rod bots in it m8 it was already donr when the engine conversion was done |

yer specification of my engine Raceline Ported polished stage 2 head which i think is a 1.8 head 2.0 bottom end con rod bolts haybusa throttle bodies omex 600 sytec fuel pump power boost valve 4-1 manifold mongoose zorst sports cat |

the question is tho, is it a different bore ? I dont no, i cant remember , but it could be different stroke. unlikely i know. most likely to be both, but i felt like throwing a spanner into the works lol |

i have no idea, hence saying i dont no lol i realy cant remember. its been a few years since i did any work to a zetec |

Just double checked......you got me doubting myself  But yup, the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 zetecs all have a 88mm stroke

the ports are also slightly smaller, but i meen like . something of a mm lol get ya dreamal out! |

i must of missed it when ford put different heads on the 1.8 and 2.0, AFAIK they are the same. all that's different is the cams |
