If you look at Donnington park circuit, I wonder if its big enough for 20 F1 cars going round it Obvoiusly Bernie Ecclestone has considered this, but surely its gonna be a bit tight I love Donnington to bits, great venue and facilities, but maybe not the best venue for the Formula 1 cars, where are they gonna overtake each other? |

I keep wondering how the current road network round there is gunna be able to cope with such a large scale international event like this.

it cant be any worse than moneco can it? and i thort id hurd they were revamping donnington????? surely they must improve the roads ect, i know there working on the track as there was a notice up on another site saying due to work on the track they were limited to 15 cars for the stand at an upcoming show. |

Donnington is a great track but i put a pound on it not being ready for two years time with the commitments it all ready has and the major development it needs, it wasn’t many years ago when it was all so quickly going to Brands hatch until the planners go involved! |

well at the end of the day we should end up with two f1 quality tracks, and Snetterton is being redeveloped as well so..personally i cant see it being a particularly bad thing, i dare say 2009 wont be the last f1 ever at Silverstone

There is indeed already talks of it being contracted back out to Silverstone for a few more years while the location is sorted. Trouble with Donny is the same as the one at Brands.......the track is too narrow for F1. From what i've heard, this is being addressed with....a new track at the location

I wonder if wee Berneie has a hidden agenda here! he doesnt want a British GP, and would like some of the other developing countries who are happy to give him millions of pounds to host the event. He has already said, if Donny isnt ready, he wont consider Silverstone to host the event, so gives him the political option to go elsewhere, and he can justify it to the british motorsport fans that way too At the end of the day , hes looking to fill his pockets with as much cash as he can |
