Well after my weekend at Croft, I experienced some engine problems, and called it a day early on in the afternoon, with a suspected head gasket failure
stripped the head of it tonite , and head gasket is blowing by at No2 cylinder, not sure the exact cause, maybe the revving to 7300 rpm wont help
Found some wee valve .piston contact marks on No1 piston also , so will need to check that out too, Head is going to machine shop tomorrow to check its not warped , and if it is get it machined, and then get all the valves lapped back in, to make sure they are all fine
Bottom end is coming out tomorrow nite, to replace the leaking crank oil seal, and also to replace the water pump , and noisy thrust bearing on the gearbox, get a new timing belt, head gasket etc..... and hopefully have her back running again, this time next week
Ahhhhh just when i thought the cars where finished too, and I could have a wee financial break from these money pits.... ahhh well would want to chase evos and cossies round Croft flat out ehhh
