fooking yes please  the tyrbo has to have a special shaft in it, a maram(sp?)247 i think its called( someone correct me if i'm wrong i think the engine is pretty safe, if mapped etc correctly, but i'm not 100% on all this stuff, but free to correct me |

as has been said anti lag comes in various strengths. and its a special shaft in the turbo. its pretty safe if its all setup and mapped correctly and you dont sit revving it up on the spot all the time. it has got a reputation for lunching turbos due to the large amount of heat created in the turbo. hence the special shaft. im sure someone will be able to correct me on this but it was making itself known on group b rally cars...big turbo..more boost..less lag...if you go on you tube..type in group b pure sound..then listen for the quattro's....early ones were a bit ugly..but fooooooook what a noise! |

Lower boost thresh hold. lag is time it takes to create boost once in the threshhold. its MAR-M 247 shaft, its a type of metal large amounts of heat are created due to the way this type of ALS works. depending on the harshness of the ALS over 300c extra can be seen in short periods of time. thats near death time for the standard manifolds, |

basicly, how i understand it ( well , how it works on a cossie ) The ignition is retard by aroun 60-90 degress there for making the combustion process happen when the exhaust valves are open. there for all the heat and "bang" goes straight into the exhaust spinning the turbo. because the combustion basicly goes straight out the exhaust and isnt contained in the combustion chamber the heat goes out the exhaust too. you can run on a cossie about 1psi of positive pressure without a mar-m shaft but only for short periods... rally stages are a no no lol Its requires mods to the ISCV and TB on a cosworth engine, also a new chip and software for the ecu |

oh yes. some cars have a seperate bypass valve rather than a modded iscv. modded iscv is only for very mild applications realy |
