well as some of you my mk2 has gone through so much in the 14 months i have owned it but it has 3 weeks mot left on it now, and the passenger rear arch is rotten and the handbrake is a bit suspect and i think the rear brakes need attention, the exhaust is blowing between manifold and downpipe changed gasket but bolts seem to go loose, and so it blows again
i'm not sure what to do as my si will be ready in less than 3 months but the mk2's mot will have ran out wayyyy before then
the reason why i'm not sure wat to do is moneys getting tight and its just a runabout car but ive kinda got attached to it but i fear the welding of rear arch is gona b expensive? but a mate has offered me £450 for the complete car except the sounds system
heres my options
1.sell it to my mate for £450 who plans on fixing it and using as first car once he passes test?
2. break it and have no car until i get my si back on the road (could get around £500 for it in bits as interior worth over £100 on its own) but would be a shame as its been a brillant car?
3.break it and use most parts and buy another mk2 as a runabout with mot on it?
4.put the money into it to get it fixed with years MOT on it
not sure wat 2 do really as its had a lot happen to it in the last year but it drives and runs really well and it is a pretty cool car and turns heads
wat would you do?
