I was driving down edgware road only about an hour before the explosion. everywhere was chaos every last bus had stopped and empied their customers i never seen so many predestrians stranded like that before all round marble arch hyde park way.

Maybe a bit soon to say and im sorry if i offend i dont mean to but:
I think we haven't suffered as much as America did/has..

Am I the only one thinking somethings not adding up?
As in, why so small? that sounds really bad and harsh but, its really only been a few little attacks, nothing compared with 9/11, nevertheless just as horrible and cowardly and disgusting.

I'm thinking maybe we shouldn't think "its all over now" just yet.. :(

I thought the same Paul, but the simple fact is, that their "forces" and firepower HAVE been diminished somewhat.

I feel for the injured and fatalities, but I think we should all be thankful that it wasnt so much worse, as it oculd well have been. I think if this was a few years back, and closer to 9/11, then it woul've been alot worse for sure.

I also wonder if they were trying to prove a point - the day after winning the Olympics, is this a "We can still get you at any time" kinda thing? Makes you think doesnt it :| :(

It is always hard to put words to any such devastating attack..

One thing crossed my mind this afternoon:
What is the point in any terrorist attack?
There isn't a point, its pointless, you cant do anything by killing people, its coming together (like the g8) that gets you places.

If they wanted to make the goverment look even smaller and in less control of things then they would of bombed london, birmingham, glasgow and cardiff at the same time. that would of caused a stupid ammount of chaos... or maybe wait a a few days before another attack.

thing is, no matter what we do, this will always happen, as long as free will is about. the goverment can't stop everything though they would like to. it's a sad fact of life.

There were a lot more unexploded devices around... if they had gone off, then it would have been alot worse.

I hated being in London yesterday.. and also coming in today wasn't very nice either

Dont know if you lot heard about it, but Birmingham city centre was closed last night. Broad Street was evacuated, as well as China Town, and the police remotely denoted a package on a bus on Corporation Street. NOBODY could get into the city centre last night.
