It would be simple but I do not use a standard type system.

Ashley 4-2-1 with own made fake CAT box to pass MOT

The 2 into 1 section which clamps to the rest of the manifold is welded due to hitting things and ripping it clean off.

The back box to the mid box is custom made due to replacing a midbox to the system, and is all welded.

The only section which is not welded is the middle, and I cannot get the clamp tight enough to stop the other pipe which slots into it from moving, which therefore must be making it swing down and twat the floor.

Other than that, it must be engine mounts.

meh.


thinking of playing around cutting some spare 60mm springs up maybe tonight, to see how slammed I can get it... experimental phase while its all nackered - but seriously.. its too high on the back.

I have a full standard one with CAT and magnex cat back which I could use.

But removing this ashley manifold is a twat to be honest!

My plan, which I think will work... it to take it off at the 2-1 part which was tacked on with weld, remove the mid and backbox sections. Weld the middle of the pipe where it is a problem and refit. Then tack the 2-1 bit back onto the bottom of the manifold.

Therefore I have a fully welded exhaust apart from the backbox, but is still easily removed once the car is jacked up enough

Along with that I could fit my S brace bit and mod it to fit this exhaust, as previously it rubbed on it and vibrated, this will stiffen the car up a tad also


Rear springs I reckon 1 coil cut out will do.. see how it looks/feels easily changed over!

Handed in my focus for asap repair Renting a Fiesta 1.6 ghia auto for a day or two

I saw the sun come out and thought 'Im going to give it a good wash and polish' then the sun dissapeared and i then couldnt be bothered haha. Just stood looking at it for a few mins thinking what i can do to it.

But now, im off down the scrappy to see if they have any new fiesta's down there.

I'm going to drive it home scraping the exhaust on the ground. With bearly any petrol.

Going scrapyard tomorrow to maybe get mk5 dash if cheap enough and also on the rob for smaller bits

I might be sorting exhaust out on Sunday if I can be arsed. And maybe even my springs experiment!

But Ive got better things to do this weekend eg. Getting wrecked on Saturday night as I turn 22 at midnight (cant go out the sunday due to alcohol tests at work!)

I raped it all the way home this morning. 22 miles and barely did any at anything less than 90%. Sounded awesome, it was loving the fresh air. I think I needed to do it after a week driving the boring diesel was just wiping out my car love

Drove it back from York this morning after a nite out for a mate's 20th, got back and saw how filthy it was and washed it! (even cleaned the dash and inside the windows )

Very pleased with myself

cleaned it inside and out 2day, sorted out things put in new cd holder case and fitted a phone holder, fitted new cossie caliper brake pad bracket, stuck the hose under the car and arches to get the grit off it

I'd love to get a hoze under mine to get all the salt off it but havn't got one (or an outside tap for that matter ) at my house at uni so I can't! Its really upsetting thinking all that salt is just sat there doing its best to destroy my beloved car!

Exhaust will be welded up once I can withstand the cold as Im ill lol.

Clutch is being replaced once I can be arsed to drop the engine! - but at the same time Im gonna do timing belt kit and swap to PAS rack.. so I bet something will go tits up. Oh and most likely spray the engine bay up while the lump is out + paint the engine itself.. so realistically need to drop it one Friday Night and get it all back in working before end of Sunday - but I could borrow a car for a few days instead of rushing lol

started the Si up for the first time in around 2 months or so and found a fuel line weeping so waiting on new hose to arrive from Demon Tweeks

gave it a quick wipe down although it still looked like it did after i last cleaned it
