On track days I put Â£20 in the car and Â£20 in a jerry can, and do roughly 50 miles,

Ive normally just enough petrol left in the car to get it off the trailer , and back up the driveway :insanity:

Scratch my previous comment, won't see more than 125 miles :lol:

As I said though, the last quarter of a tank went down even quicker than I thought it *might* have so I've got the return journey home before I'm on empty. Not the best way of working out mpg, but it'll have to do for now!

According the calculator, I'm getting 27mpg! :shock:

That's a hell of a lot better than it was pre-MOT. New sparks, dizzy cap, rotor arm, and the cat going back on have helped a bit then :lol:

Oh, this is all motorway driving though, I thought I should mention, without booting it much, but the odd blast up the dual crriageway when I'm off the motorway. :thumbsup:

Yeah, I'm quite pleased with that. Better than my 19mpg from before.

Helps when times are hard aswell! Not in the petrol station half as much!

Â£30 @ .959 = 31.28 Litres

31.28 / 4.5 = 6.95 Gallons

300/ 6.95 = 43.17mpg

have to see what its like when this new engine up and running and the carbs are set up hopfully i will be doing alot more than that
