dodgy maf sensor / tdc sensor / lambda sensor / ecu.

if it wasnt running right before hand maybe consider one of the sensors? perhaps you can find a common fault between both engines?

well it could be if the ecu thought it was drawing in x amount of air, and outputting z amount of oxygen, would completely throw it and bollox itself up..

outa interest: did you drop the engine out of the bottom? :o

sorry to hear that rennie :frown:

think ill have a look up through the engine when i take the sump off to see if the bores are ok and so on, all depends on mileage etc of the engine, i've seen one place where they let you see it running in the vehicle before they strip it out.. probably worth it.
