doing 60 on the motorway in 5th i got a whole 35.7

one thing making me consider jacking it in

done 150 miles on that 20 liters, still got some left. no idea what that is though.

but my xr3i insurance (which i am still paying to get 4 years NCB ) payments stop next month so thats £60 more, and i'm going to cancel the gym as i hardly go and thats £38.70 a month so an extra £100 give or take FTW

I like the car its just starting to piss me off with little niggles

like to add to the speaker and rear light that need fixing at ford, the front tow eye is loose and won't sit in properly so they'll have to fix that to, or they bloody better do and i need to find time to book it in, as that means the k+n will have to come off for the day

just don't see why they are so shite on fuel my xr3i did the same journey and that was run off a dizzy with mfi and was 21 years old and did 32 mpg and near enough 40mpg on the motorway

as the figures ford spout out are clearly bullshit 38mpg average supposedly, with 47mpg on the motorway and 27mpg worse case urban so if they are right, my car has some issues

still, running it on bp now so i'm boosting my nectar point total

i'm toying with the idea of changing the flexi on the exhaust, as the one on there has a 42 mm restrictor in it and i don't reckon ford will notice if its changed

got 27mpg out of mine on a 140 mile journey. not bad considering the pace i was travelling and the size of the thing!

Aren't ST's reknown for being terrible on fuel, the focus struggles to get over 22mpg on town driving

yeah i think so, but i can understnad the 2.5 turbo lump being thirsty, mines doing 4-5mpg more and its .5 smaller and no turbo

and to be fair, when we crusied to sixfields, mole was getting 35mpg out of his ST focus

Glad to see the Duratecs are much better than the Zetecs on fuel then

smaller CC engines seem ok

My 1.4 zetec was alright. nothing major but about 35mpg on average. not bad for a 92hp car. saying that my current 1.4 is 95hp and i get well over 40/45mpg on it.

Prob around 100kg. I wouldn't have thought that much would've made such a large impact. Maybe so. 106 is on a 8v TU engine from 1993, other is a Zetec SE from 1999 and it's worse on fuel.

36.9 and 36.6 mpg!

I just took the car off roading, got 19mpg I also bottomed out. I thought i would have grown up by now.
