It failed on emissions

Oh, and a sidelight bulb that decided to go pop on the day. But the emissions were the main thing

Gotta slap my cat back on and probably my old exhaust. Not too much of a ballache you may think, except the only way to change the exhaust is to have it on ramps as it goes over the rear subframe, and unless you have 6ft clearance, you can't get the angle to get it out of the subframe Easy done though

And typically, when it was being mot'd, he noticed a nail in one of my rear tyres, which I must have picked up literally outside the place. Luckily, it hadn't gone through though, but it was just one of those "oh ffs" moments.

Yup

I'm going to give it a bit of a service aswell, as it's due some new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm. Should help with the emissions a bit.

i miss having a dizzy run mfi car

do like pulsar's i know someone round here running at least 320bhp, plus 60 shot of NOS kept with my mates CBR 600

it's an L reg, couldn't you blag for a pre-cat test?
or did it fail the pre-cat emissions?

Being an import it doesn't need to be cat tested at all as the car doesn't even show up on the computer, so it goes through a standard emissions test, but it failed that

I know it's not running quite right at the mo, so that's obviously not helped. And it's due a bit of a service. She'll get sorted. Somehow.

So the car doesnt need a cat emissions but it has to go through a standard one? never knew there was a "standard" one

I think as JD said it's part of the pre-cat emissions test. Not 100% to be quite honest.

But either way, it failed

And yeah JD - I did give it a good blast! New plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm should do it.
