I went to santapod over the weeked, and my what a weekend, lol! I spent oveer £370, went through 6 tanks of v-power and drove over 1100 miles, lol!
I went down with a local car club, was a right treck to get to! I was with a couple of skylines an rx7 and something else turbo (forgoten). I managed to keep up, but when they gave it some I had to pretty much floor it for like 10 mins to catch up, lol!
I did about 30 runs, was great fun! I beat a non turbo skyline too, I was well empressed!
My best time was 16.4 secs at 84.46 mph, which isnt too bad. I let a tunning guy who joined us at the pod have a couple of runs in my car and he commented on the clutch slipping under full tilt, so I have a verified excuse, lol! What times should i be exspecting?
I didnt bother removing any seats or anything, which probs would have helped a fair bit. I did however remove the bonnet for the last few runs, but managed to snap the bolts, lol, so had to tape my bonnet down for the drive home! I also tried to be a clever dick when leaving and floored it across the field through the puddles, which filled my boot up with water, lol! Then I turned off my car and water must have gotten into the alarm, which was worring as the imobiliser cut in and i couldnt start my car! Had to leave it over an hour to dry out then it started, luckily!
All was fine then untill leaving when one of the skylines snapped his key off in the door, doh! Had to take loadsa things appart and snap the idnition barrel off, lol, looked so dodgy when stopping at petrol stations! We then drove back side by side down the duel caridgeway, was a great weekend!!!
Were going to try Shakespear county/runway (something like that) next time as its a little closer! Just need to fit my throttle bodies now to get some better times!
