As some on here already know i have just bought an escort Gti engine to go in my fezzi. but its not due to go in until next weekend. the reason for me bying mostly was because the engine in there know was making a knockin noise. now heres the upsetting part for me. my other half has no conseption of cars or what each car is so she was out on the duel carraige way in my fezzi and tride to race a 106 rally she killed the 106 but the R32 killed her of course, now she tried that hard and pushed my FSI that hard she make the knockin noise a loud bang followed by a loud screching noise...yup you guesses it she blew a bloody pistion :cry:

. what i dont understand is why. the engine aint in till next weekend so my fezzi is off the road until then, it has been knocking for three months and only now it breaks one week before my new ones goes in.

anyhow im taking the entire engine apart this week cuz i might as well and i enjoy doing it.lol so i will post pictures of the damage to the piston or should i say what is left of it.lol

if anybody needs anything from the engine, cam, lifter,valve springs, throttle bodies etc let me know cuz everything is mint apart from the bottom end and i dont think i need it so can av it.

unlucky mate, i blew a piston ring on the way back from fiesta in the park this year it still drove tho but burnt louds of oil!

she couldnt drive this home. whenever the engine was on it sounded really bad and drove really sluggish like the wheels had fallen of or something :cry:

i mean the noise was terrible the screeching that it made not to mention the loud bangs every second it was probably as loud as standing under big ben when its chimming.

Well no biggy, just ware and tare cant be helped, o well ai, just fuels me to get this new engine sorted really good

sorry to hear it dude. get her to pay for the parts.
good job you had a new engine lined up though
if the big ends are knocking then it's a good idea not to use the car dude. it'll make it a lot worse, especially racing the engine

sorry to hear that, my 1.6 started running like a lump og shite about a month ago so had to pull my finger out with the 2.0 conversion, even though it was ment to have gone in in march this year(before FITP :red:

right i have some pictures of what the engine looks like at the moment...well whats left of it, i took out every last bolt...and drilled a couple cuz the were buggered. but hey here ya go...o yea added a pic of my new induction kit :lol:

its about the same size as the battery :insanity:
