im aquiring my 2l engine this week, before i fit it i thought it'd be wise to change all the gaskets and give the engine internals the once over (not that i know what im looking for though), when you buy a gasket set what exactly do u get, and how much should i expect to pay?

umm well would of thought you would get all the important gaskets, but not too sure, and I would expect £30-40, from halfrauds or summit? dont take my word for it tho, wait till someone who knows what they are talking about to post up!

i got a genuine ford gasket set and it had everythig in it. it was £160+ i think[cry]

i generally use ford head gaskets because they are usally quite good, stupid things like it will have OBEN onit which means top soits easier to sort out which way round it goes. You get some and you have to work it out and there is always a chance of getting it wrong and looking a complete tit.
unless you know someone makes a better whatever proper genuine bits are usaully better.
