But to fit a zetec you just need a engine side mount making, which can be had off a company for about £150 or cheaper via john_ka on the ka forums (if he still does them.. he has a 1.8 zetec ka van)

Trim a tiny bit off the slam panel to clear the pulley cover too.

I was going to do this with my rally ka project, If I got a ka now I would also do it.

Pretty easy transplant, and well worth it, same as doing a mk3 fiesta imo.

That makes sense and the engines can be had cheap enough.

How would it go with management and looms, is it a plug and play or how much monkey business is needed?

As far as I can remember, you can utilise typical zetec fiesta looms and typical management that the 2.0ltr fiesta boys use, desk dewy deep
Basically its not much agro, and quite possibly just a easy as wiring up an engine bay loom to the existing ka interior loom

I was going to fit an ST170 on itbs so abit different, but there are plenty running around with standard zetecs.

Gearbox is a slight issue, I think you need a specific one, possibly from the a 1.3ka but you can use the zetec flywheel and clutch still (i think!)
