Is that a real website or not?

Don't guess!! I need to know for real.

I have placed an order and alarm bells rang when I tried to put in UK and that wasn't an option, so I tried the next card option both which said "credit card" and this one had problems with the drop down boxes but I just continued..

Didn't process, I left it and it said "select a state"

So I just quit, and then went back to see there was a tracking number? and it says pending?

I've also got 2 emails confirming the same thing!! this means I will probably be charged twice right?

Help, Phone the bank now?

Ok it is a scam site, as its registered to someone in Shang hi.

Feck I am not normally this stupid but i'm no good with these brand name things,

do I phone my bank now and try and get it blocked?

Do I phone them saying about Fraud? or do I phone them maybe saying I lost my card earlier in the day and to block anything that might go out?

Phone bank asap and get them to cancel payment, if they cant ask what to do, they will help.

Ok cancelled my card.

If anything goes out i'll phone them saying it wasn't me.

Word of warning for everyone! This is a scam/immitation website as I did http://whois.domaintools.com/ lookup which tells you the creator of the site etc and this is made by someone in shanghai!

So yeah, keep safe this christmas! What a knob. Can't believe it especially after all the scam and IT knowledge I have!

No contact info for starters

In my search for a TV last week I came across a site called Frold which had cheaper than anywhere electrical goods. Had an addy so I put that into Google maps and it turned out to be the middle of a field in Wales Awesome.

Just be careful, they get so good at it nowadays!

Yeah normally the alarm bells ring when a website looks like its been made by a 3 year old.

Didnt even think about it as there was loads of A+F sites, I just kinda assumed it was the UK one as there was a US one.

no personal address show and dont think major brands use yahoo and hotmail addy but a good looking site

On there contact section, you can get in touch by either 'msn' or 'yahoo' lol.

lol apparently they do send you the items, some of them anyway, just cheap fakes that are obviously not the right ones.

Meh, I had someone PM me on ZSOC and he's a banker! lol says i'll be fine and will get my money back if any goes out.

Well I'm glad you got it all sorted! Had something like that on eBay once! Luckily I paid through paypal and it all got sorted! Scarey to think people make a living from scams and cons!

My card was copied at a petrol station once, and they got about £2500 overall out my bank account by spending online. However, the bank were actually really good and I got all the money back within days of each one happening (I had things coming out for weeks despite the card being stopped).

So you will have got your money back, but it's not the best way to start Christmas is it
