Yes airbags expire They're supposed to have a lifespan of 10 years.

Health and safety would dictate that having explosives in front of someones face while they are in control of a metal death machine capable of doing triple digit figures, means that it should probably be looked at more so than we do already

Had my MOT on Friday, and was chatting to the guy about all this. Same old same old really. Engine looms to be checked (although only what can be seen obviously as they can't strip anything down), exhaust regs getting tighter (but my argument stands with my MOT blokey about the wording of it and how to pass my car with the system on it's got), and a few other bits and bobs.
