what do you guys think.

in the next year or so im gona rip my engine back out again :)
and rebuild her again but this time shall it be throttle bodies or trubo?

cant make my mind up but it will be bored out to 2.1 and have uprated rods and pistons. :D

You cant do both lol.

How much time and money do you have? What power do you want? What do you want to use the car for? Ask yourself all of that before you make a descision. If you just want shit loads of power and boost, then do it, if you just want something with a bit more poke then TB it or carb it :)

.....because by the time your into needing the kind of flow for ITB-turbo setups your out way past what a FWD setup will take. there are few popular inlets you can use have a look about on the net, and i seem to remember the alloy HO inlets being safe for about 300 bhp... do you want to drive it or brag about it?! i know theres cars out there with more...and thier owners are exceedingly wary about damp roads let alone wet.

tough call.depends on what your using it for... 2.1 N/A ITB screamer depends how much power you want..youll spend alot of money to get power out of it and make it reliable enough for you keep it together if your going to use it daily the noise especially with something like a quaife S/C gearkit will be utter porn. but if your running it stripped that will soon get thin. dont expect your neighbors to be happy with you either as you howl up the street in the morning. you will have to work it to keep it on the boil so to speak.but youll reap the rewards when you do... so that would be a better option for a weekend blast about.

2.1 turbo. depends on what power your after...250-300 is sensible. if you dont go super nuts on lowering the compression it wont drive like a dog off boost.. wont be particularly stressful on anything...apart from the gearbox which take less effort to shag than any essex bird ive ever met so spend your money wisely there. other than that. the rest of the shopping list can come to alot less than that for a N/A build if you want it to. you wont need headwork...the std top end responds quite well to forced induction. you wont have to wring the plums off it to get it anywhere. but you will be more prone to torque steer when the turbo spools up. and youll need to make way for an intercooler aswell.

its your call theres some food for thought above. im not a fan of front drive turbos. but thats personal pref....if you want ill pm you a list of whats in my garage for an N/A build. :)

its not quite that simpe. your ITBS have to be suitable for forced induction so they dont piss air everywhere when the turbo comes on boost. things like butterfly spindles are sealed one way normally. to stop them sucking air in. they dont like being pressurised the other way.

Thanks for all the replys I been thinking and I want a real screamer and a good blast of a car but with something different, might go for throttle bodies, the money is no issue and am hoping to get the engine done over the winter when I'm going to do it and get her up and running and ready next year. :)
