Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes; I have been enquiring to a company about the dials shown in the youtube video:
They do not produce the dials pictured although they do very similar
They have said to produc the dials i want they will need to put them into production for the MK3 Fiesta (production being 50 made). In order for them to warrant doing so they require 15 orders for the dials. Would anyone be interested in this as a group buy? Prices are as follows;
£39.00 + £4.00 p&p per set/unit. I'm not sure on how long it would take to produce and i've never seen there products in the skin - however £43.00 all-in is quite good to warrant buying IMO.
How i think i would work this: - Get a list of 15 people interested - If we fall below 15 people i will propose to Visual Performance what we can offer in terms of orders. - Once accepted for either of the above i will take your full payments to guarntee i have enough money/orders to get visual performance to put dials into production. I don't want a scenario where i say we have 15 orders ready and only 7 people actually commit to paying. - Assuming all goes well that will be job done.
Couple of things i would like to add; Firstly, in the Youtube video, the needle in the dials looks quite dark. I'm going to ask if they can suggest a way of sorting this (i.e. painting needle red for us etc). Secondly, if you a worried about letting me hold your hard earned cash then please look back to Rolling Road Day 2008 where i took/held payments for that. If anyone has any other experiences with this kind of thing please let me know if i've missed anything OR if there are other/better ways to sort the money situation etc.
Commets/Interest Welcome thanks
P.s. to ensure people trust i am providing actual prices given to me i do have copy of quotation from Visual Performance upon request.
