Which engine shall i go for in my MK2
CVH running twin 45s or bike carbs etc, 4-2-1 manifold etc (approx 130bhp) 19%  19%  [ 3 ]
My zetec out of my SI (142.5bhp) 81%  81%  [ 13 ]

whats the difference in weight between the two? 2.0ltr zetec might *maybe* affect the handling slightly?
either way i think the zetec is an all round better engine, but go for what you want - you don't have to follow the general consensus above.... i never did! :thumbsup:

to be honest i can agree with scott. its not all about top end power. having driven cars with both engines in the cvh was more tractable lower down and you didnt have to spank the plums off it to get it to go anywhere the zetec is a more upto date power plant and cvhs only generally dogged owners that didnt put decent oil in at the right intervals. lest we forget the zetec was a problem child for sticking tappets in its infancy.

thats my tuppence a 'pennys worth. not that its worth alot.

i personaly would go for the zetec like you say its just a case of putting it in no tunning required and you know its a decent engine so why go to the hassle of putting the cvh in when your gonna have to tune it and its probably seen better days anyway just my opinion
