Cranking the engine means turning it on the starter motor, ie starting it

Hows it all going?

When i have some money for my mate, were off down to Universal Salvage Auctions where his dad works, gets all the cars from down there.. Gonna get a mondeo to take the stuff out of 8-)

Not too bad cars down there... hes just got 2 P reg Esxorts for 50 each and sold em for 500 after a couple of new bumpers and simple stuff..

Hope i can get this 2ltr in mine soon

Go to a scrappies and find a mondeo and get the stuff off of that?

The way i was gonna do it was get a mondeo from salvage (obviously with working engine etc) and use the bits of the car.. only cause my mate has access to them cheap ish tho..

Good luck tho mate..

My 2ltr has been pushed back to end of the year when i get to start another years insurance with my 2nd no claims bonus (hopefully) :homo:

 :o well on modern cars they nearly £800 a piece in cases, guessing brand new from ford be 500-600 quids.
Dont bother, just stay patient and you'll find one,

im pretty sure the 1.6 ecu will function with all the 2litre gear, just isn't mapped out right so you will want a 2L ecu but its not the biggest job on your list mate

I managed to get my ecu of ebay for about £30 posted, which wasnt bad. Just keep an eye out and get in touch with people breaking mondeos on there, they are sure to have the bits, just be persistent. Other option, visit a scrappy or just go on the net and find one of those find-a-part type places.

Go to Halfords, find the zetec one you normally need, then open up all the other boxes and look for one that has the same base, but is shorter  :D

Seriously :)
