Attach a buffer to a power drill without a battery seems to be the way forward.

Not yet Adam, Have got my replacement indicator stalk so will be fitting all that next weekend, draining the old fuel, putting some fresh in, attaching the new battery and connectors and see what happens!

Yes Percy, I turned it with my hand!

Lou, really easy to do. Bought a silverline attachment for machine polishing, some cutting compound, and some very fine sand paper (1000-2000 grit).
Then its a case of wet sanding a panel, and giving it a few passes over the paint. couldn't believe the results. Can see why machine polishing can bring cars paintwork back to life!

anddd I have programmed a 'fiesta si' embroidery file in work, identical to the badge, as well as our website logo. So when i come to retrim my interior it will be a nice custom job.
Will be trimming my steering wheel in a couple of months too... exciting times
