There is, but it involves waiting about 5 years :teehheee:

In all seriousness, I've discussed this with many, including Terry, and I think a lot on here have ridden the insurance wave paying no more than about £1.5k for there 1st car.
Boss just bought his step-daughter an Ex demo Astra. Insurance: £9,000 :wth:

My advice always has been and always will be, pick some cars you like in your budget and spend a day on price comparison websites. Make your choice based on what the results are.
There's no art, no secret (other than there's no logic to most of it), just dedicate the time, be sensible, and broaden your expectations. Good luck.

From the moment I picked up your book until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Some day I intend reading it.

Pass your test before getting a car.

There is no point in buying a car for it just to sit there if

A) you dont pass your test
B) you cant pass your test
C) you cant book your test
D) You cant afford to run a car
E) You cant afford to insure a car
F) Your a batty

I paid £1200 for my first car insurance, 2l sierra cossie rep. :blahblah:

I needed something more reliable as it seemed to be going through wishbones on a monthly basis and I was on my third gearbox with it, so I bought the Celica, couldn't afford to have two cars at the time as I was it a rubbish Job. Now I'm in a well paid Job. I could afford to have a second car. That Si was quick as about a month before I sold it I had a short ratio Rs turbo gearbox fitted.
