As you may know after the 21st December insurance companies will no longer be able to use gender as part of there insurance calculations.

Yes this probably will lead to big increases in womens quotes and small decreases in mens, but finally sense has been seen!

Finally.

But what will happen is the womens will go up, and the mens will stay the same

Ahh insurance, legalised fraud.

Means it'll cost more when it comes to insuring my gf for her first car when she wants one and gets a job and leaves uni with all the rest and we want to move out  great. It wont put ours down just theres up, which just makes it pointless really, just going to cost us more in the long run if you have a partner :lolz:

By all means I can agree that have both a male and female int he house our overall bill will increase.

It did annoy me when getting quotes on my first car knowing that if I was female the quote would halve despite me being completely innocent, at least all young people will be in the same boat now to which something might get done about it if everybody is complaining.

I agree here, may work out more expensive atm for overall house holds however its just another stepping stone to sorting out the car insurance system. Im sure I remember an investigation starting earlier this year about rediculous rising premiums.

In the long run hopefully will work out cheaper.
