not many of you have probably tried this but i was playing around with online insurance quotes and if put i dont have children the quotes reduces by £500!! how rediculous is that, i know kids can be a pain in the car but to the point where i would alter my driving or crash is stupid!! :banghead:

How mad, I know one which reduces my insurance massively is saying yes to 'I have access to another car(s)' drops me a few hundred because I drive the focus too.

Does make me wonder the logic of these things, then I realise the logic is to get as much money as possible out of you.

its really silly now, going from 1ncb to 2ncb in the si rose the insurance up by £700 so needless to say i took it off the road.

My mate sorted out some insurance as he was going to buy a car, and rang them up when bought it. Went through thte details and said he had kids, to which they put the price up. Now he doesn't have to use his car for the kids, he told them this, but did the price go back down?? Did it fook. Legalised fraud.

Yeah but you've got your head screwed on!
The pics below are of what happens when a 'school run mum' is too busy chatting to her son whilst reversing out of her drive without looking

I put my wife on my policy (Impreza Turbo) and it reduces it by nearly £60 so I'd say it does help ;)

Makes my fully comp policy drop under the £500 mark :D
