the only sensible thing is to sand to bare metal and re spray it mate before the rust sets in and spreads

What is the surface rust on ? a panel through the paint ?

when you say cracked paint, do you mean like it crazed, or just a crack over some filler etc ?

thats exactly what i thought, if am honest. its the only way to really do the correct job. And for the best results. As most other methods just cover it for a period of time. But then its going to come back.

well i got a bit on the bottom corner drivers rear arch but by the looks of it most of it can be cut out without seeing it, then i have cracked paint were some wally kicked or knocked my car made a dent and on a crease theres a paint crack same with the front right arch, there not massively noticeable but i pride myself on how clean my car is and how good the bodywork is ask sk8xtrem lol so these niggly bits are pissing me off lol

A crack in the paint is only fixable by a spray job im afraid. option 2, if the crack isnt too noticable would be to fill it and try and patch spray it but the chances of matching are minimal

i hate spraying, because my paint hasnt to seem to have faded in 14 years and i polish and wax it etc its pretty red lol so getting a tidy job is going to be hard, do you know how much a bodyshop would cost?
