Yeah :)

Ordered on 14th may. They are made to order seats and take 20 working days to complete. Got an email on Friday saying they have been dispatched and was hoping to get them Saturday but didn't. I should receive them early this week. If so I will be fitting them first thing Saturday morning :D

Got the fuckers in. Haven't wired the heating elements up yet though.

Have to say, there hard seats and not as comfy as the originals, maybe i just need to break them in abit. They look good though.

Out of interest, what was the weight difference?

havent weighed the originals. ill try that tonight.

The Cobra seats are 10kg each minus the subframes. When i was swapping the seats over though, the originals seem like twice the weight.

I got some bypass modules for airbags, mat emulator and seatbelt emulator. Plugged in the mat emulator dont know where the rest go. Iam getting all sorts of shit coming up on the dash. Airbag and seatbelt failure. Need to get the modules in and get the errors coded out as all the warnings and chimes when i start the car will soon do my head in.

It was never going to be a simple system was it!

Can't believe you'll be the first to do this sort of thing though, so must be information about.
Obviously only any good for the passenger side, but do these have a disable override for baby seat use? Might help sort one side at least....

Nothings simple on a BMW. Cant even fart in there unless you have it coded first

yes there seems to be loads of these bypass modules all over the internet, i was just lacking a decent guide and there seems to be so many variants on the 3 series that the guides i was finding didnt match my seat looms. When i get more time i will look into it properly.

Hows the VXR going ?

if i plug the passenger seatbelt in it stops the chimes so that part of it is working.

Weighed the originals. 25kg each. So a pair weigh 50kg. A pair of the cobras weigh 20kg + the subframes (will find out the weight of those)
