As far as im aware all the RNS-E units only have partial post code, people have aparently managed to hack the unit to make it work but nobody has proved it! i think there were only two types of RNS-E the mk1 and the mk2, Mk1 is what i have which supports duel 4GB SD cards (aparently it can take 8gb cards unoffically) has a standerd LCD screen and black turn wheel buttons. Mk2 supports duel 32gb SDHC cards, LED screen and silver turn wheel button things  only other visial difference is the mk2 has a media button and the mk1 has a CD/TV button. if your mates one does have full postcode can you find out what softwere its running please :halo:

Hello just a bit of an update. I was bored and couldn't sleep so I got my carbon vinyl out and pulled the dash and door trims out of the car and wrapped them in carbon vinyl to match my gearstick surround, I liked the glossy trims but due to being nearly 9 years old they all had marks on them and most people know how OCD I am with having my cars looking there best so thought the vinyl would work well. Here's some photos! Results speak for themselfs. I will get some photos of them fitted in the morning.

Looks ace mate!!
I always pondered doing that to mines, but as I've got the aluminium ones that aren't smooth I never bothered, yours look the perfect base for wrapping and as always a top notch job done :)

Cheers mate, its a nice simple job that only took me half an hour to do, just need to do my rear trims. I've seen a few people on the forums do the silver ones, not sure how they would look up close with the texture underneath.

Cheers Adam :-)

I have just finished painting all my front grills gloss black, so impressed with the outcome. Pics to follow.

Its cheaper than i thought, just under £7 for 1520mm by 600mm with free delivery

Ebay Linky

Just have a go with it on various things, using a hairdryer to heat it if your needing to shape it around curves. when its warm its like bubble gum, you can stretch it around most things. if you need any help ask me and ill try my best to explain!

Just a little update, been wanting to do this since i got the car, bought myself some exhaust tips cheap. Cut my pipes and cut the valance and the badly welded the tips on  my welder is very old and doesnt give a good constant feed so its bloody hard to use! But there on there and there not going to fall off any time soon :D Im happy with the result, look very OEM and give the rear end abit of a boost in looks. Valance is going to be pained gloss grey tonight 8-)
