Post subject:  Mk1 Fiat Punto Bertone 1.2 16v Cabriolet [SOLD!]

Ok, so my misses has been driving for 6 months now and wanted something different and with a bit more poke then her 59hp 1.0 16v Micra Active. Shes been searching and searching for weeks for one of these and there bloody hard to find now so we ended up getting this, the only black one we could find.

Its a 1998 Fiat Punto Bertone 1.25 16v Cabriolet. Body and paint is in good nick and 4 brand new Yokohoma tyres, but needs work else where. Already replaced the side indicators for smoked ones and changed the thermostat and ripped the old airbox out ready for a k&N induction and debadged the boot. Plans include Change of wheels maybe 15" or 16" max, lowered, maybe an extension to the rear bumper and maybe an abarth bodykit and small bootlid spoiler, needs new mohair electric hood cause the rear windows got a massive split, replacement mirror, new radiator, oil & Filter change, fuel filter, replace sparkplugs and leads, White LED numberplate lights, smoked angel eyes with HID bulb conversion, half smoked rear lights, tinted sunstrip, new passenger lock, car mats, maybe GT turbo front brake setup, paint rear drums black, replacement glovebox lid, battery clamp. We already got some leather material to trim the seats. In the process of stripping out the interior and drying it out as its got damp from the split rear window before its recovered.

I think it makes a nice girly car for the summer and should look pretty mint when its done :)

its a nippy little thing and pushing a standard 86hp and down only by 4hp on the 1.6 8v version it replaced, also makes it drop down to a insurance group 8 and cheap tax bracket :D

would make for a great 1.4 GT Turbo conversion

A Few Facts
1.25 16V DOHC
86 BHP
113 NM Torque
6000 RPM
0-60 = 12.3
Top Speed = 106 MPH
MPG Combined = 39.8
MPG Extra Urban = 51.4
MPG Urban = 28.8
Insurance Group = 8
Kerbweight = 1015

Thanks. Once the springs are on will be looking at maybe some euro style chrome deep dish split rims, then on to the big job, replacing the hood with a new black mohair one complete with a window that isn't staple gunned to the hood

I was wondering what 16" Mondeo rims would look like on this......hmm it's the wrong stud pattern on the fiat but you can get them pattern converters that bolt to the hubs

Looks nice, those lights look great and the leather seat looks at home, will look awsome with all the seats like that.

Post subject:  Re: Mk1 Fiat Punto Bertone 1.2 16v Cabriolet

I Photoshoped a set of 16" Mondeo rims although they look more like 17's and lowered it. A set of wobbly bolts would make these fit cause they are 4x98 and not the 4x100 needed. Might take a wheel of the Fiesta for a test fit. maybe powder coated White.

Try and picture it with a black leather interior instead of the ugly blue shite that's in there (what were they thinking  )

Bugger forgot that the ford rims are 4x108 not 4x100 which means there gona be too hard to mount to the hubs. I've found some 17" khan style rims on eBay which are 4x100.......am keeping an eye on them
