Just cost as this cars well over budget now lol

also the standard exhaust is very discreet and hides the tailpipe under the bumper, these puntos looks shite with backboxs on show cause theres no recess in the bumper.

a s/s copy of the original design would be nice

OK, this project is now near completion and my wallet will have a sigh of relief

just had new cat back exhaust, cylinder head gasket and bolt set, new timing belt and tensioner, helicoiles and bolts, brake hose clips and full system re-bleeding and camshaft blanking plugs.

Also passed MOT with 2 advisory's,:
1. surface corrosion on inner wings (seems to be about all the rust its got)
2. under side heavily under-sealed (not sure why that's a problem to be honest unless his hinting that's its hiding something horrible)

Only just passed on emissions and giving that its had a new exhaust system and lamba sensor its all pointing to the cat which is the only old bit left so iam gonna be replacing that next.

Just need to get it insured and taxed, full tank of V-Power, then take it down to have a Clifford Arrow 5.1 alarm fitted with the central locking on remote as theres bugger all protection on it right now. replace the passenger lock from what looks like an attempted break in at some point and paint the locks up gloss black to blend in to the paint work a little better. Figure what to do about the holes in the tailgate where the badges once sat and add small front and rear bib spoilers so it sits level with the sideskirts, then that should be it.

Looking good 8-) looks like its just left the factory its so tidy :) keep it up. Suppose their hinting their may be rust hiding under the underseal but never seen that as an advisory before :?

Yes I'll use some hammerite on the inner arches.

Misses is insured on it now. £445 fully comp with mods declared. Took £60 in shell V-power too. Just got to go and get taxed in the morning, then it will have its first day out in the 15 months we've had it.

Insured with ecar. Bearing in mind it's only a group 8, for private use only, kept on a carport, £8000 miles a year, main drivers 38 with 1 NCB.

Just about to go and tax it now, looking at the weather the roof will be staying shut today

Just been out to Tesco and Halfords in it.

Wasnt too bad...bit shaky and squeaky inside and iam in the process of tightening up the gear knob and o/s wing mirror as there moving too much. To be expected from a lowered 15 year old car really though. Just a case of making adjustments here and there and tightening up everything that wants to move lol. Seems to also be excess movement in the gear leaver so maybe the gearbox mounts need tightening or replacing. Being out in the rain is also a good test for water leaks as there seems to be water getting from the o/s front window where the windows not quite lining up right against the seal, looks like ill have to make some adjustments to the glass to get it to sit flush.

Yesterday had the Clifford Arrow 5.1 alarm fitted so now it has remote locking, alarm, immobilizer and bloody great bright blue Clifford LED that lights the interior up at night when armed :D
