New Driveshaft & studs, Wishbone and ball joint fitted (needs tracking now cause its way out)





New reverse camera and relocated out of plate and central to rear bumper in the numberplate recess, new plates fitted without GB logo and some dodgy spacing.

new driveshaft fucked !

The inner CV boot was destroyed by the securing clip digging in to the rubber boot causeing a split and it turned the driveshaft rotation destroyed it. Returned for full refund so trying to collect a 2nd hand unit off ebay tomorrow for £30, ill drive that till it dies then be seeking another new one, VW want £315 for one :shock:

well the clutch and DMF finally gave up, so ive ordered a Sachs Racing stage 2 Organic clutch and SMF kit that will hold nearly 400Ft/Lbs+ of torque......at a very very shocking in a bad way price :shock:

Hoping to get fitted within a week, then on to a R-Tech stage 1 map to see about 195BHP and 320 Ft/Lbs+ of torque

should see 0-60 in low 7's high 6's and top end of about 140 MPH whilst maintaining an average 45MPG

So the new Sachs SRE organic clutch and SMF kit arrived. Capable of 390Ft/Lbs+ of torque so future proof any performance upgrades i make. Also the uprated Audi TT and superpro wishbone bushes arrived











Old clutch out, the center of the clutch disc detached. Cant complain as the original clutch and DMF setup lasted 192K :)

New clutch is in, but not liking how it feels, dont know if it needs bedding in or its the way its been installed or setup. Biting point is high on the pedal, and when you find the biting point the car just wants to run away, this will make stop start traffic rather annoying. Its like it only has 2 speeds, stop and run as fast as you can, there's no slipping though, just hard to get the clutch\power balance for slow cruising with such a small area of pedal travel that dosent have a gradual bite :confused:

plans for the rest of the week are get new steering rack, track rod ends, superpro wishbone and steering rack bushes, Audi TT uprated wishbone bushes, and o/s ball joint installed. Change gearbox oil and also need to get a nail removed from rear tyre, 4 wheel alignment and MOT.

Wishbones that are only a few months old from Europarts are off the car, already bushes have cracked, so prepping them for the Audi TT uprated bushes along with superpro bushes.





Drilled out the old bushes







Uprated solid Audi TT and Superpro wishbones bushes in and cleaned up the wishbone. Getting the TT bushes in without a vice was a fucking nightmare :x







Also received the superpro steering rack bush, to go on with the new steering rack
