Some nice weather for a change so i thought ive gotta get the PC out to finish the car ready for Ford Fair

This time i went for a Megs cutting pad and some megs N#83 cutting polish ( supplied by Gaz )

Dont be fooled that having a machine you will get the job done quicker, took me nearly 4hrs to get the car done with just this stage ( wanted to take me time to get the best results i could )

After the PC i applied 4 coats of wax ( im not done yet  )

started with the bonnet

then onto the passenger side

Looks fantastic mate :)

As you said, it's definately not quicker lol (when you're correcting anyway); but i do find it's quicker if i just want to run a quick paint cleansing polish over the car or something like that.

Great pictures, and a great looking Fez :)

Gareth :)

cheers Gaz

i know now it will prob be quicker next time as ive removed quite alot this time
i take it you have to draw a line on the correction side of things in case you remove to much top coat
i did notice a real difference along the bottom of the doors and sills. these take a lot of crud and i could actually see the PC removing the damage

Absolutely - once corrected, with the correct washing procedure, your own car should never require that level of correction again.

I have 83'd some of my own cars when i first got them; they've only ever needed 80 since then :)

Where i've demoed the machines and products continually to people on the bonnet of my daily runner mondy, that have very, very little clear left now

Gareth :)

i normally cover the badges but i dont really go near them with the PC

i concentrated on doing the large panels as these are more noticeable than where the badges are
around them i just polish normally and it all blends in

only just found this post. found someone with the same colour as me!!

looks mighty fine mate! i washed my car the other day was well chuffed how well it came up, obviously not as good as that! but it was good! might have to get hold of one of those PC's.

like the badges on the back too, im planning to change the style of the fiesta badge aswell, looks so much nicer! atleast i know it'll look good now.

what else have you done to it?

hi there

the exhaust is a FRST Mongoose rear section (only 1 silencer, 4in outward roll) from the front pipe back. bit of custom work to mate the front up but it was needed to flow the gases from the turbo :)
it is a bit loud and burbles very nicely. doesnt sound to 'chavvy' either
does do yer ears in a bit on long journeys but ive got used to it or im going death
