yeh deff dont jetwash it, will fook your electrics up+ corrode your spark plugs etc. previous owner did it with mine and a week after buying it, it started missfireing due to warter sitting on the spark plugs and rusted them

defiantley jet wash it, i did my si very often u have to take care by covering the battery and not aiming the jet wash at the ht leads and you will be fine ive also done my mk2 and i have had no problem at all, gunk is the best stuff to buy it in the can and brush it on let it soak in washer pressure wash it off :) the results will make you happy!

Get a few boxes of cotton buds and go round every part of your engine bay, with one at a time, and clean it.

Funny, I thought we had a detailing forum?
