Anything I use seems to leave behind the faint streaks that glare badly in the sun, inside and out. What would you suggest, and if it's a kitchen item all the better, not exactly flush with cash right now :(

I just use a glass cleaner and kitchen roll on the inside and just take your time. I do it in the dark and use a near street light to see streaks.

The outside just gets cleaned with the rest of the car, with that washing up liquid not diluted can do and amazing job.

Detailing spray and a clay bar. Then my favourite product has been autoglym glass polish.

Clay will get any bonded on contaminants out of it. But as for chips you can't do anything.

Cleaning glass shouldn't be a quick thing. I use a couple of glass clothes, one for the cleaning which gets rather wet, and one for drying to prevent any streaks. With a windscreen do a bit at a time so you get it all properly. But the inside of the windscreen is my most hated of all cleaning jobs on a car
