hi mate just wondering what would you reccomend doing to get rid of a little bit of surface rust and also cracked paint, i know your a detailer but though you might know about these things lol

the only sensible thing is to sand to bare metal and re spray it mate before the rust sets in and spreads :thumbsup:

What is the surface rust on ? a panel through the paint ?

when you say cracked paint, do you mean like it crazed, or just a crack over some filler etc ?

thats exactly what i thought, if am honest. its the only way to really do the correct job. And for the best results. As most other methods just cover it for a period of time. But then its going to come back.

well i got a bit on the bottom corner drivers rear arch but by the looks of it most of it can be cut out without seeing it, then i have cracked paint were some wally kicked or knocked my car made a dent and on a crease theres a paint crack same with the front right arch, there not massively noticeable but i pride myself on how clean my car is and how good the bodywork is ask sk8xtrem lol so these niggly bits are pissing me off lol

A crack in the paint is only fixable by a spray job im afraid. option 2, if the crack isnt too noticable would be to fill it and try and patch spray it but the chances of matching are minimal

i hate spraying, because my paint hasnt to seem to have faded in 14 years and i polish and wax it etc its pretty red lol so getting a tidy job is going to be hard, do you know how much a bodyshop would cost?
