did this a while ago, but as i have only just got my PC up and running again ( have been using laptop ) i thought i would get the pictures up

The owner of this car first came to me after a full detail but after talking about what the car needed and the age of the car it was deemed somewhat unsuitable.

He also didnt want to pay for the job, he rather pay by the hour hence the lack of photos

So the car, its a MK4 mondeo on a 58plate, covered 2200 miles in a silvery colour

On first inspection the car looked pretty clean, nice even paint thickness over the whole car ( every measurement i took was in the 150 microns area )

On closer inspection after the wash it turned out it had marking from acid rain and some black water marks that didnt shift with the wash.

I proceeded to clay the car ( which realy did need it dispite the milage ) then move onto taping up

A sonus finishing pad with megs #80 worked well to remove the light swirling and acid rain marks.

Poorboys EX-P was used as a sealant applied by hand

Poorboys nattys white was used as a wax

Window rubbers had natural look dressing applied and the windows cleaned inside and out with a special formula of mine :chill:

The inside was treated to just a hoover and a wipe over with something he asked me to use

Pictures ( in what ever order they came off the camera as im too lazy to sort them today )

Looks like another great job. Shame it's silver. Really is a terrible colour for try and clean. I remember Guy Mk4 from here was fanatical about his silver Fiesta. He waxed and polished like mad and it never really had any depth to it. :( Then again you never really see an especially dirty silver car either.

black or dark blue is my favourite for that reason, when its looked after and clean just looks so good.

With lighter cars its harder to see the defects. Lighter cars you never get a nice deep shine or mirror image reflections either so the only option is to go for a wetter look
