i hate it when this happens but how do you get rid of those horrible post wash marks that get left, i have tried polish and speed detailer but it does not get rid of them completely.

If its water marks, all it is is deposits in the water. Rather than rinsing with normal tap water, try DI or RO water :D

Sounds like you live in a realy hard water area

DI = De-ironised
RO = Reverse osmosis

Ro is like DI but most RO filters have Di chamber.

Its just superclean water, its 99% pure so doesnt leave marks

Do you dry the car or just let the sun dry it?

Doncasters a pretty hard water area, but i never have any problem with water marks. A good waffle weave drying towel to soak it up. But if you are drying with a towel then try spraying something like megs last touch on to the wet panel as you wipe.

I've found since polishing and waxing the car, it doesn't leave water marks half as bad as it used to..?
