Looks like a great meet guys

Me and sam almost made the trip up but he had to be home by half 4 so we would never have made it back in time :( plus if it snowed we would have been stranded up north which isn't ideal for work Monday

Ah well, was probably sensible not to come all this way with the conditions anyway :)

Ah well, its all for the good of the cause

As Dave said the roads where fine, but if you are going to travel all this way best to be sure you are going to be fine and there will be decent turnout.

Just to add a mini review those tyres I have are amazing!

Sure there was another couple.

those VTR wheels just make the car look wayyyy to high... theres always a sensible solution to that!

Looked like a good turnout, hopefully seeing some of you at sixfields!

Yes I agree if it was a mod for looks lowering is a must, but as you know this is a sensible mod for reasons far from looks.

The advantages of using said wheels are:
Same fittings (so same flat headed lugs)
Cheaper tyres (195/45/R16 vs 185/60/R14)
Narrower wheels (also help in snow)
Bigger tyres means less chance of damaging rims, but also not as bother if they do get damaged.
No cost to change better winter/summer tyres (just a bit of time).

Compared to other options it is truely the best thing to do, unless you have a btter idea?

+ the car may look slightly 4x4 but int he snow it was like a 4x4 compared to the others.
