well on Saturday with the help of a mate i fitted my cossie brake set up

what a fucking nightmare :o , at first i could not find any bolts long enough ( i know i should have got this ready before hand ) got that sorted then could not find enough washers, fianlly got that sorted got everything fitted up put my new shiny braided brake line hoses on bled the brakes

then came to put the wheel on and with only doing one wheel nut up it was clearly visible that i had to run spacers  :o :o , so my mate and i shot off to halfords and the only spacers they had were 9.5mm :o :o , i can get away with running 6mm so i am going to have to search for some

i hate running my car with them on, its mate the front end feel twitchy :oooh:

on a positive note i got my new alpine head unit as shown on the link in a few posts above^^, tried it out last night but forgot my bolts at my mates house so could not fit it, the sound quality is not so good but no worries i will sort it out after FITP 8-)

anywho will put some pics up soon

cheers for reading

Upgrade the standard ones pronto mate, otherwise it'll be pointless on buying the headunit in the first place. :)

nakamichi - one of the top HU manufacturers, known for their superior sound quality.

**Update**-i am still alive

well i have sweet fa,due to personal reasons. i have all enthusiasum for my car at this moment in time.

but after going to ford fair on sunday i have got of the spark for my car back :look:

i am amassing a small pile of crap ( parts ect. ) for the conversion only need another si engine to get bits off of, but then again i was thinking(with the help of my friends) about going straight for the ZT but using a Decomp plate to run that till it goes bang, and the mean time save for proper pistons ect. as the 2.0L has been sat round( in a car mind) and ment to have gone in in march :look:   ( i am lazy i know and in-experienced)

anywho cheers for reading will keep you all informed

cheers

well i e-mailed adrian flux yesterday for a qoute on a ZT with about 230BHP +- and they can insure me for £1000 :o :o , that cheaper than insuring my standard 2.0L converted Si :look:, looks like i will be collecting some more bit for my first budget build ZT :look: and see how that goes.

you could be right mate, but it will only be going in about december time. so i will phone up nearer the time to find out what is allowed and what is not

but that qoute was only to test the water to see what it would be like

i will litterally be sticking a turbo on and thats it (and a decmp plate and other relevant bits to get it running)

cheers

Terry
