though the fiesta si was never considered hot when it was released. :hsugh: more of an insurance exercise.

vts - hot hatch. In its day it was fast. to be fair it still is fairly nippy 0-60 in 7.2-7.5.
vtr - warm hatch.

vts is the fiesta rs turbo.
vtr the xr2i - but even then I would say the xr2i is a hot hatch (the best looking one at that)
furio the si.

its an old hot hatch, got the insurance group to match. :doh:

if my mates 106 rallye 1.6 8v can beat an st then that should be able to.

they are flying machines, especially when you stick a good 4 branch exhaust and filter on them. even the vtrs respond well to breathing mods.

and nice find! didnt realise they made a two tone vts either!

i bet the brakes are better now! my mates standard ones used to be awesome on his vtr.

The shitroen money spending is reaching full velocity this autumn. I love spending money fixing cars! :hmm:

Driving along, sat in traffic, thought to myself;

"who is that dick with a super loud exhaust?"

oh its me....

fucking thing fell apart.

So I took a trip to Iraq where I broke a loo, let percy critique my ride and sell me a stainless cat back system complete with spiders.

Spent a nice 140 miles round trip on the motorway in the rain with no silencer, had a nice headache as a result, got home at 1800 hours and fitted the fucker in the dark and rain! result;

:thumbsup: It aint off kilter, they sit at an angle for some reason.

Dont know what brand it is. Has a nice note to it.

Andy also gave a raceland closed induction kit that needed a clean up. I have cleaned and re oiled the filter with a K&n kit I had left over from the st (poor thing). Thus I shall be fitting this notoriously difficult piece of kit tomorrow. 8-)

Just need;

droplinks
underseal
front tyres
wiper blades
16v badges

:whistle:

looks nice mate. they normally sound sweet with a system.

the racelands arent that hard to fit. its just making brackets to fit it to the front panel thats a potch, they sounds good when they are on though.

Iv done the "drive with no exhaust" routine before, its quite embarrassing on the motorway, its reasobably quite when your not on the power but then when you put your foot down its mega loud, catches people by surprise lol.

Exhaust looks alit better, I bet that filter will make a differance.

Well many people have seen mine very well with said exhaust and filter, As it is the Saxo VTS does very well with breathing mods.

That was the hard bit! :lol:

Got this raceland induction kit off Percy. Combined with a stainless it is meant to give you around 15 bhp extra :hmm:

It is enclosed away from engine heat soak which is super cool :homo:

as you can see its worn, the chrome wrap is peeling off but I have plans to sand it off in the future and spray it. It is only aesthetics.

Also the underside is a bit melted where it was sat on Percys exhaust manifold :o Hey ho, a good clean and its good to go;
Image

Things to note; The raceland must be made by blind people. It comes with no brackets to mount (even when new) and the power steering header gets in the way. I didnt want more melting so I made some brackets up which took forever using a hammer, pliers and hacksaw. I needed a vice but the driveway and my foot made do. ;)

Image
That took ages. looks shit but is perfect.

As you can see the power steering header is orginally on the slam panel where the new filter housing wants to sit :rolleyes:

End result:

Everything held tightly away from manifolds etc, fluid bottle relocated. :thumbsup:

Sounds good with exhaust, not as loud as I thought which is good. A subtle but nice improvement. Cant say what it does for power though. probably nowt. :lol:

boy about town now :homo: Cant wait to drive round Maccy D's car park later. :wack:
