course it does... it will go until the rev limiter in 5th mate. lol

it would do 115 on a long straight, which isnt bad at all for a 1.4 8v lol

this 1.8 is the first engine ive had thats actually powerful enough to make 5th gear spin upto the redline, most lesser engines simply dont have the power to do that, my 1.6 couldnt

they just get stuck around 5k lol

You do know mk3 clocks are terrible? My mk3 used to read 80 when on sat nav it used to be like 73
And the faster you go the more margin of error

So 130 is more like 110

theyre all different, the speedo cables age has a big effect, mine is accurate upto about 50, then at 70 its 4mph out

i beleive mine was renewed at some point via ford servicing in its full history, however should see it bounce at 30 haha

could very well need a new one in the next few years as even though i said its accurate, some days its not and im doing 2mph less at 30...

yet im slowing down to 25 on speedo for a camera :/

Mine on the mk3 used to bounce.
Still I don't believe for 1 second a 1.6 90bhp si can do 130mph

mine never used to bounce.

its wasnt that far out on sat nav as far as i can remember.

arosa one is pretty accurate kris.

120 on clock and 120 on sat, had 195 50 15s on it at the time though, so its probs miles out now..
