Well, since I sold the zetec s to buy the RS Turbo, I am now back to my Mk3 1.1 as my winter runaround. Its a good little car and only has 52K on the clock, but I'm missing having a car that stands out abit so have decided to to a bit of modding. Didn't take me long, have only been driving it 8 weeks!

Anyway, I've decided to go sleeper style and am going to lower it on a set of si steelies sprayed silver (which look awesome compared to normal steelies due to deeper dish! :chill: ).

Am also putting the si's standard exhaust on that I took off it when I got my stainless exhaust last xmas, so that should finish off the back end nicely. Cant wait to get it all done now, but cant do it till xmas when I go home from uni!

By the way, does anyone have any si steelies lying around that they want to sell to me? i'm in need of two!

Will be turned into a 2.0ltr when I have the time and source the parts, then it will be a proper sleeper. Cant wait! :chill:

Good stuff mate.

Meanwhile my C2 is already perfect so I am not messing.

We need pictures of you in the engine bay before anything bigger goes in.

Rat it! :nerd:

Always been a fan of a sleeper 1.1, decked on black steelies, with uprated brakes and an RST engine in!

Was thinking of ratting it but thought sleeper would be more fun! It will be nicely decked on steelies with hopefully 2.0ltr power before too long  8-)

Its 5 door aswell so will be even more sleeper-esque! :chill:

If we have another North meet before xmas then you will be glad for the warm engine to hug.

My Si wasn't a sleeper in the traditional form, but people never expected it to be 'that quick'.

Funniest one was when I saw a corsa with a few mods and thought I will show him a proper car and couldn't get away. Eventually pulled over and had a chat, turns out his corsa had a 2.0 conversion too and he thought the same about me and got a shock. Was funny as it was a complete WTF from both of us.

lol yea, who needs a coat when you have a fez 1.1?!! :lolz:

We should try and arrange another meet. Is it worth starting a thread up do you think?

Might even get 4 cars next time!

I replaced both sills a couple of years back as they were both pretty rusty and were failing MOT's, but apart from that it is pretty sound!

There are some bubbles round the D/S rear wheel arch I need to sort and I might put a new front panel on it next year (any maybe back panel too) but its generally in really good nick! 8-)

Had a busy day today! After going to Nottingham to get the compomotives this morning (see my rs turbo thread), I then headed up to scunthorpe to get a pair of genuine ford wind deflectors for my 5 door. They are awesome and will finish off the sleeper look really really well! I'm well happy!

Here's a pic:
