Celica is staying but being taken off the road due to running costs, using £20 every other day in fuel, i may insure it on a mileage policy.

Going to view a car tomorrow which is completely different to the celica but i have wanted one for a long time. I will let people guess at what it is, only details in giving is its a 2.5 tdi v6....... Its costing £650 to insure and should do 49mpg on the motorway! Its bigger than the celica and may be considered abit 'flash' lol

Watch this space!

lol how did you guess audi!

Yes its a 2004 audi a4 2.5 tdi sport convertable. bloody rare to find with a diesel engine! Not gunna set the world on fire with performance but a remap brings it to 210bhp 8-) but i am buying it to try and save money lol.

Traveling up to coventrey tomorrow to have a look at it but if its a good as the owner says it is ill be coming home with it.

Full audi service hstory
4 new tyres
New discs and pads all round
New cam belt
Full leather electric heated seats
Electric roof
duel climate control
17' wheels
Audi sport suspension
2 owners
127k miles which is normal for an audi derv of this age.

Should be a nice compfy car to get to work and back and cruise in the summer : new

I think they did the 2.5 tdi in the octavia and passat but may be wrong!

Indeed, proberly the best time to buy a convertible aswell as there still fairly cheap due to not being summer but we still have the good weather to have the roof down! My partner has a 2.0 tdi a3 and i get upset when i see hers saying 65mpg on the mororways and 45mpg round town when my celica struggles to get 30mpg so thought it was time to go to the dark side! And as im 24 next month i can now insure the audi at an affordable price :)

I am very excited! Wanted a convertible car my whole life and the a4 has always stood out to me rather than a common bmw 325 convertible! Always loved audi, as alot will know i nearly got an a3 instead of the celica.

I will get pics up if i buy it :) will be a nice 100mile trip home to get used to it if i do aswell!

Lol mel recons to oppisit, she thinks ill sell the audi and use the celica as a daily again as im a petrol head! I dont think i will, i love the celica but it costs so much to run with fuel prices, should be able to get nearly double the mileage from the a4! And they can even be made quick with a little money thrown at them but keep the same mpg. As said remap brings it from 163 to 210bhp then if i want more, new turbo and ic will see about 300bhp! And being a v6 it sounds lovely for a diesel, especially with a miltec exhaust :halo:

all this talk of mods :P makes me think you'll sell the celica and have a luxury diesel audi convertible which will be as quick

lol It could end up that way but im not sure yet! :P i would need 275bhp to match the celicas power the weight ratio! doable haha but the audi as standerd has buckets of torque compared to the celica, Audi:229lb ft, Celica: 130lb ft, remapped is apparently 210bhp with 370lb ft for the 2.5 tdi! :halo: celica cant be remapped on standerd ECU. I need to stop thinking about modding
