as you say left the braking a tad to late once and bottled it  that was the early sessions when still had the Toyo road tyres on, it will now rev to just under the red line in 5th by the end of the straight which is perfect at about 125mph and as good as a friends early elise,

With the new tyres on as the last session once they warmed up were incrediable especially the bomb hole and coram's 100% improvement than road tyres, and still ok when rain first started.
Cant wait wait for the next one now

125 is about perfect for that circuit and still gives a short enough gear box for the twisty stuff.

If you go on another track day let me know and if I'm not in London I'll come and take a look.

done another trackday yesterday, was great fun ran great all day only couple of issues found a crack in the plastic thermostat housing which started to leak, lost a alloy wheel center cap and most of all need more POWER!!!
got a vid of hassling BMW's, RS500, ect (must admit the RS500 was imaculate and wanted to get out of the way of me!!)
Need more power as shown by mates rapid 206bhp Clio following me but it was nice to see my engine looks good with no smoke.
So thinking of over winter job (if passes MoT next week), ported head, cams and ECU so anyone got anything going cheep??

did you manage to sort the wetting of the plenum chamber/ air box if not coat it in wood glue or pva glue

the plenum is ok, its wetting of the air filter which is the problem, thinking of fitting a sealed viper type filter canister with a cold air field as where the filter is currently had a inlet temperature of about +5 degree above ambiant.

I say lose the plenum. Fit some better injectors. Headwork, Cams, Mappable ECU. Should see you more power

Lose some more weight if possible (on the car I mean )

if it passes the MoT next week all the above is on the winter shopping list, its running 2litre injectors at mo with orignal sandwich plate, hoping for 180bhp does anyone know what the maximum flow/power of the 2litre injectors is? or wether will need to change to end feed and bid the sandwich plate?

Think the 2.0ltr ones are near your max at the moment tbh

I think I worked out the RS2000 injectors max to around 190bhp, and they fit straight into the zetec sandwich plate ;)

But if your going to use bigger injectors surely the throttle bodies have their own injector holes in them?

the GSXR600 throttle bodies using at mo have the injectors blanked off, but ive got a set of larger GSXR750 42mm to fit but didnt want the hassle of respacing the fuel rail if other options.

exhaust is a Ashley 4-2-1 manifold and a 2 1/2 stainless single box system which is a bit noisy at 102Dba but sounds crisp.

The clio is a 182 totally stripped, race clio cup suspension, with cams, throttle bodies and emerald ECU running 206bhp and
can keep up with most things.

Yes he is.

By keeping the injectors in the sandwich plate, he has linked up the bodies and made an airbox to go ontop of them. Thus keeping the maf on the end of it, so you can run them with the ecu etc.

i was going motorbike carb route as have done it before and produced good power on a tuned CVH. However my thoughts were, carbs on the Si were easy part to fit, but as mine is MoT'ed then thought carbs are not ment to work well with CAT's (only refitted for MoT) due to higher emissions leading to failure. plus would have to change fuel pump or additional pressure regulators and also need to fit some sort of spark only ECU. ( i got a 2D ignition only webcon ECU) so went for injection and using the Standard ECU was a easier option.
But as im using the MAF/ECU there is a restriction topping @150bhp and as you are no doubt thinking, carbs will potentially produce more power at about 160bhp. but as im looking at more engine work this year im sticking with injection and replacement mapable ECU.

but finally if it was a track only car with no MOT I would have stuck motorbike carbs on it
